Description

This is a 17th or early 18th century house with a gable end facing the road, located on Hill Top Road in Newmillerdam. It is a two-story building with four windows, exhibiting an irregular facade. The house is constructed of roughly coursed, squared, and tooled stone, featuring large quoins. It has a moderately pitched stone-flagged roof with chimneys on the left and centre, constructed from stone and rendered materials. A first-floor window retains a stone mullion and chamfered reveal, while two other first-floor windows have similar reveals where the mullions have been removed. The ground floor windows have been altered, but the original jambs remain. The main entrance features a six-panel door set within a stone lintel and monolith jambs, and a second door has been inserted on the right. A long, rear lean-to addition, along with a small dormer, appears to be contemporary with the original house.
