Description
Castle Mount is a mid-19th century villa that stands two stories tall and features three windows, giving it a large and impressive appearance. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and has a band at the first floor level. It has a low-pitched roof covered with slate, which has end chimneys that have been stuccoed. A deep box gutter runs along the eaves, leading to a flat-fronted cornice. The sash windows are adorned with stone architraves, friezes, and cornices. The entrance door is highlighted by a radial fanlight and is framed by an architrave, impost blocks, and pilasters, all of which are part of a prostyle Ionic porch. There are extensions set back to the right of the main structure.
