Description
Lady Bridge is a road bridge that was likely designed by Edwin Lascelles and dated around 1773. John Carr, who served as the Surveyor of Bridges for the West Riding from 1760 to 1775, is associated with its construction. The bridge is made of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar coping. It features a single elliptical arch that has a raised keystone, and the southern arch is dated. The bridge has a canted parapet with chamfered coping, which ends in square piers that have square projecting cornices and pyramidal caps.
