II

House, traditionally the home of the head gardener on the Earl of Harewood's Estate. Mid-late C18. Punch-dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 5 bays. Symmetrical facade: quoins; doorway with overlight. 12-pane sash windows with smaller 9-pane sash windows to 1st floor. Openings have raised plain stone surrounds, windows have projecting sills. 2nd bay has dummy windows. Hipped roof with 2 ridge stacks plus a stack on the back at eaves level.
