Description
Low Lodge is a lodge located at the west entrance to Harewood House, now functioning as a house. It was built in the early 19th century and features hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building is positioned end-on to the road and consists of a single two-storey bay with flanking single-storey outshuts that are slightly set back. It has a plinth and a large segmental-arched window with voussoirs and a projecting sill, which contains a tripartite sash. Above this window is a smaller segmental-arched window. The building has a bracketed eaves cornice and a hipped roof with a single ridge stack. Each lateral outshut has a doorway with monolithic lintels that are cut with false voussoirs. On the left return, there are three small windows in the outshut, while the right return features two windows in the outshut.
