Description

This is a disused font located approximately 2 meters to the north-west of the tower of the Church of All Saints. It is believed to date from around 1759. The font is made of magnesian limestone and features an octagonal shape with a hollow chamfered plinth, a slender shaft, and a simple bowl that has a nosed rim. Historical records indicate that in 1759, Reverend C. Atkinson partially rebuilt and restored the church, during which time his mother presented this font.
