Description
Carr Manor Cottages are gardener's and housekeeper's cottages built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared gritstone with timber-framing in the gables and a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and feature four windows, designed in the Vernacular Revival style. They have glazed doors and stone mullion windows with leaded panes, including two-, three-, and four-light configurations. There are corniced stone stacks on the ridge, located at the left gable, center, and right.
The interior has not been inspected. These cottages are part of the group at Carr Manor House, which was designed by E.S. Prior in 1881 and later extended by F. Bedford around 1904. They may have reused stone from the 18th-century Carr House.
