Description
Nos. 151, 151A, and 151B on Town Street are three houses built in the early 19th century, with mid-19th century additions and 20th century alterations. They are constructed from dressed stone and feature a low parapet and a low-pitched slate roof with stone copings. The roof of No. 151B has a steep pitch. The buildings are two storeys high and have a total of eight windows across the front, with modern top-hinged casements replacing the original sashes. Nos. 151 and 151A each have a Victorian canted bay window on the ground floor, which includes round-headed lights, pilasters, and a cornice. The doorways adjacent to these bays are round-arched and have fanlights, stone pilasters, and cornices supported by console brackets. No. 151B has a stone cornice on brackets and stone corniced end stacks. The interior has not been inspected. Originally built as two symmetrical three-bay houses, the two-bay end house is an addition. These buildings are included for their group value.
