Description
Nos 1 to 5 on Cross Green date back to the 18th century and are located on the west side of the street. The building is two storeys tall, constructed from stone with a rough render finish. It features a stone slate roof with stone stacks and a kneeler on the left side. There are six windows with stone architraves, fitted with modern casements. The three doors also have similar stone architraves and narrow rectangular fanlights above them. Additionally, there is one modern shop front and two smaller 19th-century shop fronts with wooden fascias. The building has a plinth, and the elevation facing Boroughgate includes two windows with stone architraves and a similar doorway. Nos 1 to 5 form a group with Nos 65 and 67 Boroughgate, Nos 7 to 11, Caley House, and Nos 4 to 8 on Cross Green.
