Description
This is a pigeon house located approximately 150 metres north-west of Redhall House, likely built in the mid-18th century and restored around 1975. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and brick, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has a square plan and stands three storeys tall, featuring quoins. On the south side, there is a wide cart arch at the ground floor and a narrow doorway above, both with segmental arches. There is also a small square window, which was probably a former bird entrance, and a restored lantern at the apex of the pyramidal roof. The interior has not been inspected but is reputed to be brick-lined with nesting holes.
