Description
This pair of farm cottages, located immediately northeast of Cobble Hall, dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The cottages are constructed of coursed rubble and feature a modern cement-tile roof. They stand two storeys high and have three first-floor windows. The building includes quoins and has paired central entrances with 20th-century glazed and stable doors, set in plain stone surrounds with tri-stone jambs. The windows are almost square and have plain surrounds. There are brick end stacks positioned forward of the ridge, and the right return of the building retains the original line of a cat-slide roof. The interior has not been inspected. These cottages are included in the listing for their group value.
