Description
Pump Hill Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from the early 19th century and altered over time. The building is constructed of squared magnesian limestone, with some render on the ground floor. It features two bays and stands one and a half storeys high, designed in the Jacobean style. The facade is symmetrical, with a shallow gabled porch at each outer end, each containing a board door. Between the porches are two 3-light casement windows with hoodmoulds, and there are two gabled dormers above, each with 2-light casements. The steeply-pitched slate roof has a central chimney stack with four flues on the ridge, and the gables are finished with stone copings. The interior has been altered. The cottage is included for its group value.
