Description
15 Queen Square is a house, now used as offices, built between 1815 and 1822 by John and George Bischoff. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with a slate roof and has two storeys plus a basement. There are stone steps leading up to a panelled door on the left, which is topped by a fanlight featuring radial glazing bars, flanked by reeded pilasters and an open dentilled pediment. The basement entrance and small-paned windows with stone sills and wedge lintels were added in the 20th century. Gutter brackets are present, and there is a stack on the right. This house is possibly one of the least altered on this side of the square. The interior has not been inspected. It is part of a development by the Bischoffs that included 13 houses along the northeast side of the square.
