Description

Harper House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of dressed stone with a stone slate roof, stone coping, and a shaped kneeler on the right. The house has two storeys and three windows, and features quoins. A central modern glazed door with overlight is set within a plain stone surround. The original mullioned windows have been replaced with modern three-light casements, set within plain painted stone architraves. A smaller single-light window is located on the first floor, in the centre. Brick end stacks are present. The interior of the house was not inspected.

Attached to the left is a barn with an asbestos sheet roof. This barn has a segmental-arched cart entrance with quoined jambs and voussoirs. The roof features a seven-bay structure with trusses composed of a raised king post clasped between tall queen posts, and three tiers of short purlins.
