Description
Nos. 3 and 4 Low Moor Side are cottages that have been converted into a post office, likely built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed gritstone rubble and feature a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high, with some upper rooms located partly in the roof space, and consists of three bays, with the left bay being an addition. The structure has quoins and flat-faced mullion windows with three and four lights, which have been restored. There is a loading doorway that has been converted into a window on the first floor to the right, and a modern shop entrance is located to the right as well. The interior has not been inspected, but it is possible that the building was originally constructed as a farm building.
