Description
Nos. 5 and 6 Moor Top is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one house. They date from the late 18th century and were altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed stone and features a low-pitched stone slate roof with gable ends. It has two storeys and two widely spaced windows, which have plain painted stone architraves. The sashes are without glazing bars, with the right-hand ground and first floors featuring very large sashes. There are two central doorways, also with plain painted stone architraves, which have late 20th-century lean-to porches. A stone chimney stack is located over the right-hand gable, while a modern brick chimney is found over the left-hand gable end. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
