Description
Wentworth Farmhouse is a house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a low-pitched stone slate roof with stone coping at the gable ends. The building has quoins and is two storeys high, with five first-floor windows. The central entrance includes a glazed door with a shallow overlight set in a keyed stone surround. The jambs of the entrance have two tie-stones, with the lower pair extending as a projecting sill band. The windows on the ground floor right have been modified to include an extra light between them, creating a three-light window. There is a band at the first-floor level, gable copings, and end stacks, with the upper parts of the stacks rebuilt in brick. To the right, there is a lower two-storey, one-bay wing made of coursed rubble, also with a stone slate roof, quoins on the right side, and an end stack. A blocked opening is located high up on the left side of this wing. The interior has not been inspected.
