Description
This is a row of four cottages with a house to the left, dating from the early 19th century and restored in the 20th century. The buildings are made of coursed squared gritstone and feature a stone slate roof with gable copings. The cottages are two storeys high and have four widely spaced windows, which are restored paired sashes with glazing bars, stone mullions, sills, and lintels. The entrances have panelled doors set in plain stone surrounds, with paired doors in the centre. There are stone ridge stacks on the cottages. The house on the left is double-fronted and has a central door with a fanlight set in a keyed round arch with impost blocks. It features flanking and first-floor sashes with renewed glazing-bar frames, wedge lintels, and a first-floor sill band. The house also has a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course, along with two tall corniced stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
