Description

This small house or cottage likely dates to the later 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with quoins, and has a stone slate roof. The house follows a double-depth, two-unit plan. The front elevation is symmetrical, with two storeys and two bays. A central doorway has a plain surround, and there are two 3-light windows on each floor, all featuring flat-faced, slightly-recessed mullions and plain surrounds. Cut-down gable chimneys and gable copings are present. A full-height outshut extends to the rear. The building forms a group with number 4 Hall Lane, which is set back to the right.
