Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of three properties, part of a longer row on High Street, Scapegoat Hill. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof and a coped gable. Stone brackets, paired on the north-west side, are a notable feature. The properties are two storeys high. The south-east gable has three entrances on the ground floor, each with a stone surround, tie-stone, and fanlight. One larger, later-style stone mullioned window, with two lights, is also present on the ground floor of each dwelling. The first floor has one six-light stone mullioned window to each dwelling, featuring a continuous and pronounced sill. The north-west elevation has the ground floor backing onto the earth. The first floor features three blocked entrances with stone surrounds and tie-stones. There are also three three-light stone mullioned windows. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
