Description
Dark Wood Farmhouse is a late 18th century and early 19th century farmhouse constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins and a pitched stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high.
On the southeast elevation, the ground floor features a central doorway with a stone surround, one four-light stone mullioned window, and two two-light stone mullioned windows. The first floor has one five-light stone mullioned window and two recessed three-light stone mullioned windows.
The northeast gable has a ground floor doorway with a stone surround and one two-light stone mullioned window, although the mullion and inner surround have been removed. A former three-light stone mullioned window has been blocked at the central light. The first floor includes one two-light stone mullioned window.
On the southwest gable, the ground floor has a doorway with stone surrounds and tie-beams, along with one three-light stone mullioned window. The first floor features two two-light stone mullioned windows.
