Description

The gatepiers to numbers 3 and 3A on Thornhill Road date from the mid-19th century and are constructed of ashlar stone. They feature a chamfered design with a cornice that has modillions and pediment-shaped acroteria. The gatepiers are flanked by quadrant balustrades that have balusters of square section and an inverted pyramidal shape with a moulded rail.
