Description
Nos 12 and 13 on Rock Lane are buildings from the late 18th century and early 19th century, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with quoins. The west and east elevations of No 13 are rendered. Both buildings have pitched roofs: No 13 features a stone slate roof, while No 12 has a slate roof with occasional stone brackets at the gutter. They are two storeys tall.
No 12, dating from the early 19th century, has a south elevation that includes two 2-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor and four 2-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor, along with a modern brick porch. The north elevation is rendered and features a central doorway with stone surrounds and various single openings with modern casements.
No 13's south gable has a ground floor that originally contained a 3-light stone mullioned window, now fitted with modern casements, and a first floor with one 3-light stone mullioned window. The east elevation has two 2-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor and a modern porch, while the first floor includes one 10-light stone mullioned window (one light blocked) and one 3-light stone mullioned window.
