Description
Marsh Hall is a house that is part of a farm group, dated 1596. It features deeply coursed millstone grit on the plinth and coursed rubble to the left, with some repair work evident. The roof is made of stone slate, and there is a central stack along with a former gable stack to the left. A recent garage door has been added to the right of the original entrance, which has chamfered reveals. The lintel above the entrance displays indistinct initials and the date, with a hollow chamfered hood mould above it.
To the left of the doorway, there is a 2-light fire-window, a 5-light window, and another 2-light window, all of which are double chamfered and have hood moulds. On the first floor, there is one 3-light window and one 6-light double chamfered window; the latter features a square king mullion, while the two mullions to the right are square replacements. Additionally, there are two 19th-century 3-light windows to the right. At the rear, there is a small outshut. The interior of the house has been altered.
