Description
Nos. 84, 88, 90, and 92 on Town Moor are a row of cottages dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are built from hammer dressed stone and feature quoins on the right side, topped with a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high.
No. 92 has its entrance on the left side and a 4-light mullion window to the right, along with an 8-light mullion window on the first floor, which has four restored mullions. No. 90 mirrors this layout with an entrance to the left and a 4-light window to the right, although it has had two mullions removed. No. 88 follows the same design as No. 90.
No. 84 was originally a barn, with its entrance located at the rear. It features a near-central large segmental arched entrance that is now partly blocked with a recent window. On the first floor, there is a former 10-light window that is mostly blocked but includes recent casements. The street front of No. 84 has a single storey gabled addition.
