Description
Liley Hall is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century, with significant additions and rebuilding from the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble and hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins on the earlier section. The roof is made of stone slate and has gable copings, with a kneeler and finial at the east corner. The building is two storeys high and has an H-plan layout. The northeast wing is the original part, while the southwest wing is from the 19th century.
The central section is partly rendered and includes 19th-century openings. The early wing features a central projecting stack on its main elevation, topped with a later brick chimney. To the right of the stack, under a hood mould, is an arched narrow doorway, alongside a 2-light and a 5-light double chamfered window, with the former altered to serve as a later doorway. On the first floor, there is a large 19th-century window and a 2-light double chamfered window, from which the mullion has been removed. The front gable of this wing has four 19th-century sash windows, while the rear gable includes a later doorway and a 2-light double chamfered window at an intermediate level.
