SE 11 SE BROCKHOLES ROAD Farnley Tyas 5/10 Ivy Farmhouse & barn

Farmhouse and adjoining barn to right in one range. Dated 1790. Hammer dressed stone. Quoins. Stone slate roof. Formerly 2 ashlar stacks, one now altered. Two storeys. Near central doorway with one 4-light window to left and one 2-light window to right. To 1st floor is a former 12-light window, now with three lights blocked. Over door is recessed tablet inscribed: Erected by Jas. Scafe 1790 The barn to right has a 3-light window to left, both floors, and a central, segmental headed cart entrance with mistal door to right. To rear of house is addition of similar date but altered. To rear of barn is later addition not included in the item.
