Description

59 New North Road is a mid-19th century building constructed from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. It features a pitched ornamental slate roof and coped gables. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay projecting forward and topped by a steep gable supported by ornamental kneelers. This central gable includes a two-sided ashlar oriel window, which is set diagonally on a moulded squinch and jetties out over a porch. The porch has a four-centred arched doorway and is flanked by two-storeyed wooden canted bay windows on either side.
