Description

Nos 55 and 57 on New North Road are mid-19th century buildings constructed from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. They feature a pitched slate roof with coped gables on kneelers and stand two storeys tall. The design is symmetrical, with two shaped gables at the center that contain triangular cusped windows in the attic. On the first floor, there are three-light mullion-and-transom windows, while the ground floor has canted bays. Each of the outer ranges has one single-light window on each floor.
