Description

The boiler house and chimney for the Church of St. Mary, built around 1863, feature hammer dressed stone and a pitched slate roof with gable copings, carved kneelers, and moulded stone brackets. On the north side, there are three round arch doorways. The square chimney consists of two tiers; the lower tier has ashlar offsets and sunk panels on each face, while the upper tier includes archivolted round arched sunk panels on each face and a broad moulded cap with a round arched corbel table. This structure is included for its group value.
