No 1A Upper Head Row is an early 19th-century building constructed of ashlar with a hipped stone slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and features a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The façade includes bands and one range of sash windows. The entrance has a door topped with an oblong fanlight.
