Description

The coachhouse and stables to No 198 on Meltham Road were built in 1822. The structure is made of hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has six windows with glazing bars and three-centred wooden valances on the first floor. The ground floor includes two windows with glazing bars, one of which is a two-light stone mullioned window. There are two six-panelled doors, one of which is a stable door with ventilation holes. The coachhouse has planked double doors set in a three-centred arch, with "1822" inscribed on the keystone. Above, there is a planked loft door.
