Description
Nos 25 and 27 on Woodhead Road are two cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof with coped gables. The buildings are two storeys high and have two stacks, one of which is made from ashlar.
On the north-west elevation, No 25 has a central doorway on the ground floor, accompanied by a three-light stone mullioned window on one side and a small single light window on the other. The first floor features a two-light stone mullioned window, a single light window, and another three-light stone mullioned window.
No 27 has a doorway to the left and three large single light windows with prominent separating mullions, along with a central light that is likely a former doorway. On the first floor, there is a three-light stone mullioned window, with one light blocked, and a two-light stone mullioned window.
