Description
This is a row of mid-19th century townhouses on Upper George Street. The properties are built of ashlar and have pitched slate roofs. They are two storeys high, with a moulded eaves cornice and a decorative band. Each property has two ranges of sash windows, with glazing bars in those of number 25. Doors are located at numbers 23, 27 and 29, with numbers 23 and 29 having two moulded panels, and number 27 having four. The doors to numbers 27 and 29 are surmounted by fanlights with glazing bars. Numbers 23, 25 and 27 have a single passage entrance, each with a blind semi-circular fanlight, plain raised voussoirs and moulded imposts; the fanlight at number 27 is entirely blind. Number 29 has some cast iron railings with spear finials.
