Description
The Moravian Sunday School was built between 1816 and 1820 as part of a Moravian settlement. It is constructed of red brick with stone quoins and ashlar dressings, topped with a pitched slate roof featuring gable copings. The building is a single storey with a symmetrical six-bay main elevation. The outer bays, which were originally doorways, have moulded and chamfered ashlar surrounds and round arches with keystones, but are now partly blocked. There are four round-arched windows with raised stone sills and brick voussoirs, and a continuous stone band at the impost level. At the rear, there are lean-to brick extensions, and a blocked round-arched window can be found on the left gable.
