Description
This is a 17th-century barn located immediately southwest of Balderstone Hall. It is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof that has chamfered gable copings. The barn has a central square-headed cart entry, which is currently blocked, and an outshut at the rear with a central square-headed cart entry.
Inside, the barn consists of four bays supported by three posts that hold up three trusses. Two of the trusses are open with struts, while one is a king post. The posts are braced to the arcade plate and tie-beams, and aisle-ties are also present.
