Description

The park gates and gatepiers at Marsh Fold were built in 1884. They consist of four piers made from ashlar and rock-faced stone. The piers feature moulded plinths and foliate cornices, topped with pyramidal caps. They are chamfered and have buttresses on both axes, with batters that terminate in swirls of acanthus.
