Description
Nos 11 and 12 on Scar Top are early to mid 19th century terraced houses that were originally built for weavers. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a pitched stone slate roof, which has a coped east gable. The building has one chimney with tabling and cap, and another chimney that is partially rendered. Stone brackets support the gutters.
The south elevation has two storeys, with the ground floor featuring two entrances that have stone surrounds and tie-stones. There are also two four-light stone mullioned windows with double lintels. On the first floor, there are two seven-light stone mullioned windows.
The north elevation mirrors the south, with two entrances on the ground floor, each with stone surrounds and tie-stones, and two three-light stone mullioned windows. The first floor has four four-light stone mullioned windows.
