Description
The stable block and barn, located 100 yards east of Lascelles Hall, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features quoins. The stone slate roof is hipped at the rear. The building has a U-shaped plan, with two projecting gabled wings that each have an oculus at the apex. On the ground floor, there are two round arched windows with impost blocks and a keystone in each wing, which have slightly raised surrounds. Between the wings, there is a large central carriage entrance with an elliptical arch. The wings also include small doorways on the inside elevations and to the sides, as well as a smaller central arched doorway at the rear.
