Description
Lascelles Hall is a large, detached house built in the late 18th century for the Walker family, on a site previously occupied by the Lascelles family around 1175. A later addition, matching the original design, was added to the left side of the building. The house is constructed of ashlar stone with raised quoins. It has a hipped roof covered in stone slate, with ashlar stacks. A moulded eaves cornice with a blocking course runs along the roofline.
The house is two stories high and features a symmetrical facade of five bays. The central bay projects forward and is topped with a pediment. The windows are sash windows, lacking glazing bars. The central doorway has a moulded surround, set within a rounded recess flanked by two columns and pilasters, which are topped by an entablature with a smaller segmental pediment. Stone steps lead to the doorway, with a low side wall featuring large ball finials. To the left is the two-bay addition of matching design. The windows have shutters. The interior has not been inspected.
