The 5 Miles Post, located 300 yards north of the junction with Calf Hill Road, is a mile post dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of painted stone and features a rounded top. The inscription on the post indicates that it is 5 miles to Huddersfield and 8½ miles to Woodhead.
