Description

Lumb Bridge is a pack-horse bridge, likely built in the early 18th century. It features a rough dressed stone single segmental arch and does not have a parapet, but it is equipped with cast iron rod handrails on either side. The bridge is impressively located next to Lumb Falls, spanning Crimsworth Dean Beck. It was part of the Limers Gate pack-horse route that connected Lothersdale to Halifax.
