Description
The War Memorial in Rydings Park was created by F. W. Doyle-Jones in 1922. It features a tall marble column on a plinth, topped with a high-quality bronze statue of a winged angel standing on a ball, holding a crown of laurels aloft. Originally intended for Thornton Square in Brighouse, the memorial's location was changed to Rydings Park before its dedication.
