Description
The walls and gates to Abbott's Ladies Home, built around 1870 by F. Swindon-Barker, are located on the east side of Skircoat Green Road. The structure features coursed rubble and ashlar. It includes three tall gate piers that have a square plan, moulded bases, and decorated tops. There are two pairs of gates situated between the piers. The walls on either side extend along Skircoat Green Road, showcasing chamfered coping and ornate iron railings.
