Description
The Bridge to Crow Nest Park is a single span segmental arched bridge built in the mid-19th century. It features hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. The bridge has rusticated voussirs and imposts, along with raised bands on the jambs that connect flat pilasters. These are topped by a parapet with pierced arch-headed slots that create rustic balusters. The coping is dressed. This bridge was likely constructed for Sir Titus Salt, who resided at Crow Nest, a property that has since been demolished, during the second half of the 18th century.
