Description

Wheat Ing is a row of three cottages dating from around 1780, which have now been combined into a single residence. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and originally consisted of three single cells, each with a door framed by monolithic jambs and a five-light chamfered mullioned window, which includes a taller central light designed for a sashed window. The glazing has been altered, and the central doorway has been blocked. The building also has moulded gutter brackets, coped gables with kneelers, and two tall stacks at the ridge.
