Description

  1. KEIGHLEY ROAD 5112 Ovenden United Reformed Church SE 02 NE 4/406 II 2. 1837 Congregational Chapel of virtually identical build and date with that at Northowram. Plain pediment gable sandstone brick front with kneelers. 3 bays with central, shallow, arched recess carried up into the gable and framing the doorway which has a simple . keystoned arch. Plain ashlar lintels to marginal glazed windows. 2 storey 5 bay side elevations with 2 plain rows of windows. Stone slate roof. Interior galleried, partly repaired later C19 but with box pews above. Set back from road with small cleared burial ground to front.
