Description
Ovenden Hall is a substantial traditional stone house dating from the late 17th century, featuring a stone roof and two storeys. The main south front has three gables, with the center gable recessed. There is a round-arched entrance located in the wider east wing, and the building is adorned with wide mullioned and transomed windows, along with finials, one of which incorporates a sundial. A similar gabled wing was added to the west in the 19th century. The east return of the house has two large chimney stacks and irregular small windows. At the rear, there is a 'T' shaped service wing, likely from the 18th century, which has simple mullioned windows.
