Description

This fountain, located approximately 25 metres to the northeast of Field House, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It features an ashlar basin and is made of cast iron. The circular pool has a plinth and a low cyma-moulded wall with a rim, supported by four lion-headed buttresses. The fountain itself is set on a concrete pillar and has a shaft of clustered columns that support a petalled bowl. A central stem rises to hold a smaller similar bowl with a fountain nozzle. This structure is included for its group value.
