Description

This barn, located 5 meters east of Gib Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble brought to course, with dressed quoins and a stone slate roof. The tall cart entry on the west side features composite jambs and a stop-chamfered surround. Opposite the cart entry on the east elevation is a smaller doorway with tie-stone jambs and a chamfered surround, which bears crudely incised initials "B P I P I P". To the left of this doorway is a mistal doorway that has a quoined lintel and a chamfered surround. The barn has coped gables with kneelers.
